Furtado's - Our Guesthouse in Goa

Furtado's, is on the beach in Goa. This section of beach is approximately 15km long with mostly small guesthouses or beach shacks, i.e. restaurants and/or bars. There are no large resorts. It is quiet and peaceful. It is a great beach for swimming and walking.

Furtado's has 30 rooms and a fairly large restaurant. It is owned and operated by two brothers, Pio and Shilston Furtado. Their clients are a combination of Europeans and Indians. While last year was an excellent year for their business, this year is much slower. Between the financial crisis and the terrorist bombings in Mumbai, many foreign tourists are staying away. So we expect that most of their clients this year will be Indian. Here are a few pictures of the beach, the guesthouse, and the people.
